Is it not possible to sell a natural resource to another subsidiary?

Natural resource trading is not fully implemented yet but it will be available soon.

It would be nice to be able to sell the raw material while retaining ownership of the location.

You can (or maybe I’ve not understood) :

1. Find or buy a natural resource (for instance coal)
2. Build a mine on it
3. Sell coal

I tried to build a mine on my coal resources in Kyrgyzstan….but the resource drop-down menu is empty. Am I doing this action wrong ?

How long has it been since you bought the natural resource?

Natural resources trading should be available this week.
It’s true that exploration is the way to go, this being said I will add some resources manually while waiting for the trading feature.

DrJekyll: Are you sure you own a coal resource in Kyrgystan? I didn’t find any. Which company owns it?

DrsFarms3   It appears to be fixed. I went down list looking…got no result…working my way back up my list the resource was there.

Ok I found a nice amount and quality of coal but I don’t have the money to buy it for myself to sell what do I do with it I tried to mine it but it won’t let me

If you don’t have enough money to buy the resource you can’t buy it obviously.
The exploring company has the exclusivity to buy it during 180 days. Passed this period everyone will be authorized to buy the resource.

Natural resources trading is now available.

To buy a resource either from a player or from the “government” go to :
Desktop >  Show >  Natural Resources Market >  Click on the resource you want to buy

The “Natural Resources Market” window contains only resources that are for sale.

To sell a resource you own :
Open the company window owning the resource >  Properties >  Natural Resources >  Click on the resource you want to sell
The popup window let you set :
- if the resource is for sale or not
- the selling price

The B/Sheet Value column is the current value of the resource in the company’s balance sheet.
